DESCRIPTION:Held since 1938\, the Canon City Music & Blossom Festival is one of the premier community events in Colorado.\n\nBlossom festivities kick off at 4:00pm on Wednesday\, May 2\, when the carnival opens on Elm Ave between South 9th St and Oak Creeke Grade Road. Wright's Brothers Amusement will host rides\, food and fun through Sunday May 6.\n\nHigh school and middle school band competition performances in concert\, jazz\, orchestra and parade will be held Thursday\, Friday and Saturday May 3rd-5th at both the Canon City High School and the Florence High School.\n\nThe 14th annual runBlossom races\, organized and hosted by Fremont Adventure Recreation (FAR)\, kick off at 7:30am on Saturday\, May 5th at Centennial Park. The races take place along the Arkansas Riverwalk in historic Canon City. For more details please visit www.runblossom.org\n\nThe 80th annual parade will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday\, May 5\, along Main Street. The deadline to submit a parade application is Friday April 13th. Please visit Canon City Music & Blossom Festival website at www.ccblossomfestival.com to print the parade entry forms and review the 2018 parade rules and regulations.\n\nThe Blossom Festival isn't just a great parade though. Blossoms in the Park features 100 vendors from across Colorado and many neighboring states and a full line-up of free entertainment on the Veterans Park stage both Saturday and Sunday\, May 5-6. Vendor registration is open now and will remain open until the park is sold out.
