DESCRIPTION:October's First Friday at The Artists' Gallery First Friday's at The Artists' Gallery assure a delightful evening of art\, conversation\, music\, and delectable refreshments! Join us on October 4th\, from 5-8 p.m.\, to feast your eyes and feed your soul! Popular singer/guitarist\, Tom Gudding\, will entertain with classic folk-rock. Our Featured Artists for the month are: Sculptor and painter\, Deidre Wilda\, impresses us with her extraordinary mixed-media wildlife sculptures. Her distinctive water media paintings are equally spectacular. Deidre's endeavor on a private commission of an outdoor memorial sculpture to grace the grounds of the Ca on City Library is nearing completion we eagerly anticipate the unveiling! Gifted photographer\, Robin Riddle\, is artist/owner of Bird's Eye Photography. She exclaims\, "My photographs are a celebration of what I love Colorado life\, past and present\, its wildlife and wide-open spaces." Robin shares\, "Occasionally\, I will alter some of my photographs in my digital darkroom to mimic other art forms." Her results are simply breathtaking! Virginia Ames\, owner of VA Creations\, has been a beaded jewelry artist for more than 28 years. She creates fabulous vintage-look and contemporary beaded jewelry\, often integrating unusual "treasures" into her designs. Virginia never fails to present exciting new pieces to showcase her extensive skills! Tim Penland is featuring his impressive pencil drawings\, expertly illustrating themes of Western\, Native American\, and Train art. He has been engaged in creating art for 50 years and is also an avid scale model railroader! Tim's artwork is displayed in the Cheyenne Depot Museum and the Cripple Creek District Museum. He currently serves as president of the Cripple Creek Art Alliance.
