National Day of the Cowboy Program
Cañon City, CO—The Friends of the Museum are hosting a special program on Saturday, July 28th at 1 p.m. to celebrate the National Day of the American Cowboy at the Royal Gorge Regional Museum & History Center. The program is titled “Rodeo Royalty” presented by a panel of speakers that include Georgia Stranton, Assistant Director of the Rodeo Royalty Program, Royalty Queen Macie Lynn Day and 1st Attendant Jessica Ownbey. The panel will discuss the skills and requirements for the Rodeo Royalty Pageant. The program is free and open to the public.
The Museum and History Center is located in the City of Cañon City’s former Municipal Building at 612 Royal Gorge Boulevard. The hours of the Museum and History Center are regularly Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information, call the museum at 269-9036, or email a message to historycenter@canoncity.org.
