Bell Tower Cultural Center 201 East 2nd Street, Florence CO 719-784-2038 July 2017 Painting Classes Taught by Jan Fead Plein Air 101 Three Tuesday mornings 10 am to 1 pm - 3 hours July 11, 18 & 25 - No class July 4 Painting "En Plein Air" is painting what's in front of you outdoors. It's more challenging than painting indoors from photos, but the rewards are greater. Best for intermediate and up. We will meet at the Bell Tower for our first class and on location for the next two. At the first class we will discuss useful materials and practice finding a composition that is doable from photos I will provide. Students provide own supplies. Preferred media, oils or soft pastels. Daily step-by-step demos. Max: 7 students, min: 2. Tuition: $45 members. $55 non-members of FAC Advanced Painting Three Thursday mornings 10 am to 1 pm - 3 hours July 13, 20 & 27 - No class July 6 We will explore harnessing the power of light and shadow, color and composition in your paintings. For intermediate and advanced artists with their own projects. Preferred media: oils, acrylics, soft pastels. Students supply own materials. Not a step-by-step class. Max: 7 students, min: 2. Tuition: $45 members. $55 non-members of FAC PAYMENT: Credit card payments must be completed by a Bell Tower volunteer prior to first class. Payment by personal check or exact cash (no credit cards) can be done during first class.
