About Us
The Royal Gorge Art Alliance (RGAA) is a vibrant collective of artists, makers, and visionaries dedicated to enriching the cultural and creative landscape of Fremont County and the Royal Gorge Region. Our mission is to nurture collaboration, spark inspiration, and build meaningful connections through the arts—creating an inclusive and supportive space where artists, galleries, businesses, and the community come together.
At RGAA, we welcome all forms of artistic expression, from painting, photography, and sculpture to performance, design, and mixed media. We partner with local businesses and community venues to create pop-up galleries, exhibitions, and interactive showcases that connect artists directly with the public. Each month, we help bring downtown Cañon City alive during First Friday Art Walks, offering indoor and outdoor display opportunities, live demonstrations, and creative experiences that engage locals and visitors alike.
We are also proud hosts of the Arkansas River Art Festival, a cornerstone event that highlights regional talent while fostering economic growth and tourism. Through membership, artists gain access to curated opportunities, promotional support, and a professional network that encourages growth and sustainability.
RGAA is entirely volunteer-driven, meaning every membership dollar directly fuels our mission to keep the arts thriving.
