About Us
Serenity Recovery Connection (SRC) is proud to now serve Cañon City and Fremont County, expanding our mission to deliver critical peer-based recovery support directly to the local community. In partnership with St. Thomas More Hospital, SRC places Certified Peer Recovery Coaches in healthcare settings to provide non-clinical support, resource navigation, and follow-up care after discharge. These coaches are trained in the Jordan Peer “Coaching in a Healthcare Setting” curriculum to offer compassionate, evidence-based guidance for individuals impacted by substance use disorder (SUD).
Founded in 2014, SRC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and Colorado’s only CAPRSS-accredited Recovery Community Organization (RCO). Led by individuals in long-term recovery, we provide peer and family support, public education, and advocacy grounded in ethical service and diverse recovery pathways.
Core services include:
Peer Recovery Coaching – in-person or virtual support for individuals and families
Telephone Recovery Support – coaching via call, text, or FaceTime to remove transportation barriers
Coaching Community – professional development, CEUs, and peer guidance
Healthcare & Justice Programs – collaboration with hospitals, courts, and jails
