About Us
Historic Bed & Breakfast Inn built in 1886 on 1 acre lot.
Full of antiques and history, the Red Rosebud is a very special place.
Built just outside of Florence it is one of Florence's hidden gems as one of the nicest
Victorian mansions built during that time period.
August 1,1876 – President Ulysses S. Grant formally admits the State of Colorado to the Union
July 1, 1877 – Dinosaur fossils are discovered for the first time in Colorado
August 1886- The Victorian mansion at 1305 W. 3rd St, Florence was completed by Louis Carmello, a local mason.
January 1, 1910- The Carriage House was completed by Alfred Salmon for his Sangre De Cristo Ice Company based out of Walsenburg.
It has 18'' walls and maintains a relative temperature of 75 degrees during the heat of the summer even!
There is a log cabin on the property that is 171 years old, (we believe) and was the site of Fremont County's FIRST Car Hop delivering hamburgers and cherry pies in the drive up lane..
